Chris Jones - North West UK based FOH Sound Engineer

Coming from a musical family, I’ve always had a keen interest in music. Being around piano players, singers and guitarists was the norm when growing up and as I hit my teenage years I began playing in local bands as a bass player. Despite the love of making music and being on the stage, I always had a strong interest in the tech and the behind the scenes side of things.

Fast forward into my early 20's and I found myself regularly assisting the FOH engineer at my local venue (The Soundhaus, Northampton) learning how to mix every style of genre imaginable. From there, I quickly progressed to the role of Production Manager and Head House Sound Engineer just down the road at The Roadmender in Northampton; a position I held for two years.

Over the last 17 years of in-house & international touring work I feel I’ve come a long way. I’ve built up a wealth of knowledge and experience in the mixing and undertaking of both domestic and international shows; from club shows to arenas and all festivals sizes in between – I’ve worked with the likes of Banks, Wallows, Hadouken! and many many more all over the world.
